Senibong Golf Club Description:
(classic Pete Dye designed resort course)

Poresia Golf Club (now Senibong Golf Club) started in 1990 as a name combination of the 'Pore' of Singapore and 'Sia' of Malaysia. It symbolizes the link between the two countries and the cooperation of those who brought the resort into existence. The Johor course is the nearest golf resort to Singapore,  located 15 minutes from the Tuas checkpoint.

The golf club boasted a championship golf course designed by Pete Dye, a renowned international golf course designer. The original course layout contained four interchangeable 9-hole loops, presenting a challenging course to cater to amateur and professional golfers.

In 2018, Walker Corporation, one of Australia's largest private development companies, acquired the course and Poresia Golf Club in 2020, renamed Senibong Golf Club. The golf course has undergone extensive reconfiguration and renovation to transform it into a spectacular 18-hole golf course that retains the traits of the original design.

The 5990-yard, Bermuda Tidwarf grassed golf course presents a perfect golf experience for players of all abilities. Appreciate the stunning golf grounds with natural environs of palm-oil trees, flowers, flowing streams, and tropical birds within a panoramic natural landscape of a former palm-oil plantation.

The front nine is challenging from start to finish, extracting every ounce of skill from the golfers. The front nine offers the golfer a wide fairway to hit the drives and challenges the approach with uneven contours.

The back nine sets its style with undulating terrain lined with palm-oil trees. Large sand bunkers flank most fairways, and deep rough lies beyond the first cut. Its terrain surprises with more water hazards that test the golfer's judgment. A few holes have creeks crossing the fairways twice, setting up some excellent risk-reward opportunities for long hitters.

Senibong is well-maintained, especially around the large, gently contoured greens and many run-off areas. The wonderfully elevated tee-boxes provide excellent views of the long downhill and surrounding natural landscape.

Senibong offers full-service golfing, except caddies. The large clubhouse has a local restaurant that serves up good Malaysian food at fair prices for those wanting to savor some of Malaysia's goodies after their round.
